I'm confused. Are you saying that by default/design, the Cobian 2.x does not automatically start the service? I used the Gravity 11, and it seems to work without a glitch on another computer running Windows 11 Pro.
But just recently, perhaps with some Windows 11 Pro updates, the Cobian 2.4 or 2.5 main service will not start. I go into the application, and the main service is not started. I tried to start in the Windows Services, and the message would say that it started successfully. Yet, there is still a red dot in the Cobian Service manager. I cannot see my list of task either. The 2.x version are not as smooth operation as the Gravity 11.
Now, I uninstall the application and reinstall it not as a service but as an application autostart for all users. Under the Cobian service manager, I still have to install and start the service. Additionally, the services runs and stops, and my task list still does not appear. I attached the 2 screenshots of the errors in the event log. I think I'm going back to Gravity 11 which has been problem free in the other Windows 11Pro PC.
