Due to a family bereavement i haven't really looked at this recently as i have been busy making the funeral arrangements. Anyway i think at some point since my last post there was a DSM update that applied. There have been no other changes by me. Anyway the monthly backup kicked in and i am now seeing a different error:
2023-09-04 22:25:52 Connected to 192.168.1.100:22.

ERR 2023-09-04 22:26:28 Couldn't complete the deletion of files on a remote server: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 192.168.1.100:21
ERR 2023-09-04 22:26:30 Couldn't complete the deletion of files on a remote server: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 192.168.1.100:21
The thing that sticks out is this is an sftp conection when the files were uploading they were all using the correct port "22" but when attempting the deletion it seems to be trying to use port "21". I don't see any setting that says use standard FTP for deletion so unless i am missing something i am not sure what is going on here.
