My understanding is, when you chose Differential:
- when the task runs the very first time it will take a full backup
- in subsequent runs it will be:
- differential based on task schedule
- full every number of days based on the task properties "Make a full backup every..."
But, in my case I only see a differential backup. How does it even know what to include into a differential if it never took a full backup? What would it even compare with to identify a delta?
Please clarify what exactly I should do to set it up correctly.
By the way, this wasn't an issue when I was running the old Cobian Backup before I switched to the Reflector.
